Monopolies don't do well in any kind of business or educaton.

Public Education as we have now in the USA is a monopoly.  Monopolies don't do well in any kind of business or educaton.  Public Schools are like the old Ma-Bell AT and T telephone monopoly.  Remember the clunky phones that AT and T sold us year after year.  What happened when the telephone monopoly was abolished in favor of open telephone competition?  We have a vibrant competitive advancing telephone business environment which is selling us the products that we want and enjoy, ie.  Galaxy, Iphone, Ipad, Razr, etc.  This is want we should want for our children........a vibrant competitive advancing education environment .........nothing less.  I don't know about you, but holding back our children's education and paying exhorbitant taxes to pay inflated teacher union contracts has got to stop.  We need competition through school vouchers in educating our young children, just like we have competition at the college level today via Pell Grants.  It is the very same thing.

.-------- The only rules on voucher schools is that children graduate with a basic education...................All the union rules go out the window............No Masters Degree requirement................There will have to be reasonable rules the education and acceptance of disabled students........but parents will also have choices for disabled students.....................
No national tests...........Just student results.........ie. college entrance.......skilled technician students obtaining jobs........real student graduation outcomes can be monitored.......And guess who does the monitoring............parents.........Parents will determine the success or failure of schools, principals and teachers by voting with their vouchers......Parents will tell other parents and schools will expand or close based on the satisfaction of students and their parents.

Sooner or later, the people of New York State and the US will exercise the will of the majority, and they will enact a school choice voucher program either at the state or national level. We just have to figure out how to overcome the Cuomo, Silver, and Skelos, "three men in a room" dictatorship group that we have in Albany.
